JOB LISTING: The Colorado Access to Justice Commission, Opportunity for Contract Attorneys
/The Colorado Access to Justice Commission recently launched a virtual legal help clinic, where attorneys show up on Zoom to help patrons for 20 minutes at a time during 2-hour clinics - fully remote. It needs a short list of back-up contract attorneys who could provide legal advice in a 2-hour (paid) clinic. The topics can be wide-ranging, so CAJC is looking for contact attorneys who are more generalists. The contract attorneys would also be asked to commit to leading one standing two-hour clinic per month.
Pay: $175 per hour, 2 hours minimum.
Description: After a brief trial/training period (second chairing one clinic, then being observed by clinic staff while leading a clinic) we would like each contractor to take on at least one two-hour clinic a month (more than one clinic is always an option). Clinics occur on the same recurring day and time monthly (i.e., First Thursday of the month) and are two hours in length, during which there are five 20-minute consultations. Contractors will also agree to be on a short list of back-ups for the full-time VPC Legal Facilitator and other contractors (back up/fill ins will be scheduled with as much advance notice as possible).
We would like contractors to commit to the VPC for at least 6 months, though commitments of a year or more would be preferred.
